RAVA MASALA IDLI WITH OLIVES FROM SPAIN

INGREDIENTS

  • 25 pc (90 g) Sliced green OLIVES FROM SPAIN
  • 200 g Semolina
  • 100 g Plain yoghurt
  • 30 ml Pure olive oil
  • 2 pcs Dry red chili
  • 7 pcs Curry leaves
  • 5 g Mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste

2-3 portions

PREPARATION

  1. Heat the oil and add dry chilli, curry leaves, mustard seeds and when they splutter, add the semolina and sauté over low heat, till an aroma emanates.
  2. Take it off the heat and let it cool.
  3. When cool, mix the semolina, the Spanish green olives and the yogurt to a smooth batter and add salt to taste.
  4. Keep aside in a warm place for about an hour.
  5. Prepare the idlis and steam immediately in an idli steamer for 6-9 minutes.
